Scenery on the bench, designed by Yang Mingjie

It is a series of benched inspired by the traditional Chinese bench that was commonly used in the past. In 2016, Yang Mingjie designed eight different benches based on the same traditional bench prototype using Swedish pine. The traditional bench grows various “branches” on the seating surface to form new shapes and functions so that the bench can be used for people talking, reading, drinking tea, hanging clothes, etc.
